A hit, when referring to smoking, is one inhalation.

For example: "I took a hit and was immediately transported to Narnia"

It can also be used as a verb: "I hit the bong with the veracity of 12 pumas"

  • When taking a hit it is important not to cough, laugh, or otherwise sputter in a way that would send the bowl flying everywhere.
  • There is some debate as to how long you should hold a hit in. If you haven't though of this yet try experimenting for maximum weed usage.
